The name was originated after the name of an area from where Lord Rama asked Lord Lakshman (his brother) to keep a watch on Lanka. It is also known as 'Brother's Fort'. In 1968, it was declared as the national park of India. It's a biodiversity center comprises of species of flora and fauna. Bandhavgarh is popularly known for having the largest tiger species in all over the world. The first white tiger of Bandhavgarh captured in 1951 by a Rewa King known as 'Maharaja Martand Singh'. You can see this tiger which had been stuffed and known as 'Mohan' is displayed on Maharaja's palace. This is a breeding centre for many animal species like leopards, deers, tigers, migratory birds, mammals and reptiles. When To Visit In Bandhavgarh National Park

Temperature in Bandhavgarh National Park is appealing during the winters. But monsoons and summers is not an ideal time for travelling. Let us see the right time to visit which is mentioned below:

In Summer weather, the place becomes hot and dry with maximum temperature 48°C and minimum 45°C. This is not an ideal time to visit here. Keeping a water bottle is important and takes a mini first aid kit along with you.
